There's a lot of hype these days around the idea of eating clean. Everybody is talking about it, but what does it really mean?
Let's clear up the confusion.
I want to offer you a simple foundation for clean eating - on that helps you nourish your body in a way that is doable for you and your life. No gimmicks. No trends. No hype. Just real food and real clarity.
Let's start with what clean eating is NOT:
It's not expensive.
It's not complicated.
It's not restrictive.
It's not a trendy diet.
It's not about labeling foods as "good" or "bad".
Clean eating does not mean that you have to cut out entire food groups, buy only organic, follow a rigid meal plan, or count macros or calories. And it definitely doesn't mean you have to feel guilty every time you enjoy dessert.
To me clean eating is a mindset - not a menu.
It's about making intentional choices that nourish your body, support your health, and aligns with how you want to feel everyday.
Clean eating means:
Receiving your food with gratitude.
Slowing down to savor your meal and the moment.
Eating as close to the Earth as possible.
Enjoying a rainbow of fruits and vegetables.
Choosing foods that truly nourish and support your body.
That's it. Simple. Sane. Healthy. Life-Giving.
Clean eating looks different for everyone and it should. We all have different needs, food sensitivities, preferences, and seasons of life. The goal isn't perfection, but nourishment.
You just have to tune in to what helps your body thrive, and do what you already know works for you by taking small, sustainable steps in that direction each day.
Ask yourself, "Is this food supporting my body and the life I want to live?"
You don't need a complicated plan to eat clean. You definitely don't need a perfect pantry.
You just need a little intention - and a lot of grace.
Let clean eating be simple. Let it be sane.
Let it be something that brings you joy and health, not stress or shame.
